I'm looking at this stove to replace my Quadrafire. Does any one have a Meridian hooked up to a Skytech remote? If so how does it work for you? I have a Smart Stat iv. And any other comments are good.

This RC as it is will operate as a millivolt remote, hooked directly to a gas valve (or as in 1200CB's case, the thermostat terminal) terminals 1 and 3. Looked in the Meridian manual online, I believe they use a 24V AC input for a thermostat. Also looking at the Smart stat IV manual, it does show a 24VAC transformer being used in the 24V hookup. So it looks like you can use it with the proper 24VAC transformer. Meridian is a nice stove, similar to the 1200CB heating wise. Good choice.
