Expired pellet collection sites.

This is a cut and paste from an answer to another post. I liked it so much I started a new thread.

The Pellet Pigs will be running a collection of all expired pellets. So go to one of the Pellet Pig collection site and turn in your expired pellets. If your bags of pellets do not have the Pellet Pig Institute date stamp on them, they are expired. Turn them in for a voucher for a Junior Pellet Pig membership.

And no pictures of snow so you Haters, hush.

Seein' as you'd be doin' the right thing and all, I'd be more than happy to help you load 'em onto my truck, and I'd even buy you a margarita at that place in downtown Concord...the old jail?

Notice all those drop off sites are in MA, OH, NY, NJ, CT. All these sites are much too cold. Too much of chance that you will run into more snow getting your pellets even wetter. Please drop off at Littlestown, PA. Enjoy the warmth while you drop off at our site, Free six-pack with every ton of expired pellets. Plus, down here I can make more money shipping back up to the folks up north.

Ha, nope. It was a jail until the 60's or maybe even the 70's, I think. I was nary a glimmer in my daddy's eye at that point, so have only enjoyed the ambience of Mexican-like food in a lovely, candle-lit jail cell and not actual criminal detention. I understand the ambience was considerably less pleasant in its original use as a jail. It is a pretty cool layout for a restaurant.

It sounds like the Pellet Pigs may be engaged in practices that could run afoul of the Expired Pellet Interstate Transport Commission. As we all know, wood pellet fuel that has passed it's expiration date may contain compounds that are endangering the life cycle of the Teensy Gnat.

The Teensy Gnat is a beautiful creature that is rapidly disappearing from sight all over North America. In order to safeguard it's existence, any and all loads of expired wood pellets crossing state lines are required to have a percentage of each load inspected to ensure none of these harmful compounds are present.

By decree, 10% of any such loads are required to be submitted for inspection. The pellets must be sent freight prepaid to the Expired Pellet Interstate Transport Commission headquarters, located in rural Northern California.

Since detection of these compounds requires destructive testing, the pellets will not be returned, but a voucher will be issued which covers the cost of the inspection fee. If the testing discloses there are no harmful compounds present, an Interstate transport permit will be issued within 12 months.

If the test sample does not pass inspection, the remainder of the load must be disposed of locally and as efficiently as time permits. It is suggested that the pellets be disposed of by burning during such times as the Teensy Gnat is not actively reproducing (i.e., when it's cold).

Sources tell me that the Obama coins haven't been minted yet. Something about a mixup in uncounted absentee votes.

The McCain coins are going fast at the discounted price, though. They are a great value. At the current exchange rate, 1 McCain is worth 5 (not yet available) Obamas, although trading cannot commence until The Big O takes office.
