Don’t know if this is the right place for this, but I figured this could be a fun spot to post some really bizarre and totally not safe stove install pics for hehes’s and haha’s.

I’ll start with some gems I saw on reddit

😳 my buddy removes his chimney rain cap with spark arrester on his class A flue. I asked about rain and snow getting down the flue and he says it burns off! 🤣

Tell him to just remove the screen, then put the cap back on.

Looks good from my house!

A good friend of mine who often does home electrical work for people who can't afford the folks who just come in and say "I won't touch it unless you let me replace all the electrical in the house" often finds all sorts of "fires that haven't happened yet.

He tells the homeowner as he's working on it... "You have a fire over here." "WHAT WHERE?" "It hasn't happened just yet."

Just got the wood split, ready for some cozy subzero weather. More pipes = more heat. What was that about creosote again?

Hey, where's the required ember-only floor protection?? ;lol
This one reminds me of my old neighbors setup, really. Except his floor was dirt until his wife got fed up. Then he actually laid plywood on top of the dirt for a floor. His wife finally moved on, but Randy kept living like a hermit until the end. He was a certified electrician but lazy, he only worked when he wanted to and just enough to get by. I gave him my old wood stove when I built a new home on my property so he wouldn't start his house on fire with the barrel stove. Randy, Rest In Peace, you were definitely an interesting neighbor.

And some more gold
