Hi all,
I'm troubleshooting a heat and glow gas insert with an aux 300 fan module. Basically the way it works is there is a cord going from the control module to the Aux300 fan module. The fan plugs directly into the aux300 module with a 3 prong plug and is 120ac. Can I simple plug and extension cord into the fan plug to see if it works? All other functions work with the remote - on off, flame control, etc, except the fan . Wiring looks to be OK and I'd guess the fan module is bad. Anyone work with one of these before? Thanks!

Yes that should work - just shut off the regular power for the stove first
