Found this little lady in my pine stack. Love the leg stripe/growth ring combination
.
Aussies have a less neighbourly view of spiders since our funnelwebs and redbacks (amongst others) can kill you by looking at them.
Like snakes the only good spider is a dead one.

Yeah my snake respect was fashioned by being raised in West Texas. Rattler City. In high school one of our field trips every year was to Crater Lake in Oklahoma. The bus would drop us off on the other side of the "mountain" from the lodge. And the contest was to bring the most rattlers or the largest to the lodge with you.
Try doing that for a school field trip these days.
The US might be the biggest and best in a lot of areas but our snakes run rings around yours

No doubt. In the US, about 5% of stuff you come across is poisonous and might kill you.
Yeah Philly and Chicago, I'm talking to ya here
Game set and match they do! We had a big reptile room in college. Roomie made a killing on baby bearded dragons. Cute buggers. Local cops were very interested in all the fluorescent lights, though .The US might be the biggest and best in a lot of areas but our snakes run rings around yours.
Wow...sounds like my kinda party! You're crazier than me, BB. And that's a short list.Yeah my snake respect was fashioned by being raised in West Texas. Rattler City. Funny you should say that. I have one store downtown Chicago (stockyards) and two in outlying burbs.
What the hell is that ugly lookin thing
Hmm... I've always felt quite safe walking around all parts of Chicago. After living in Philly several years, Chicago always felt very clean and safe, by comparison. There are large parts of Philly that look like a third-world country. Think Detroit in 40 years, when those recently-abandoned factories have some age on them.Funny you should say that. What the hell is that ugly lookin thing......on the left?
