Does anyone have any information on lining a firebox? I️ know I️ can line with firebrick but I’m looking for a cleaner look.

Research has led me to hardieback 500 1/2” thick. My only concern is cracking at mud joints because of stove drying it out.

Are you talking about inside the stove firebrick or the inside of a fireplace?

OK, I thought so. It will probably be fine.
