Fireplace problem
I have a DVR6-CMNS series fireplace. The burner will not turn on.
Is my valve just bad?
Began to tear the thing apart because over the last two years it had been sooting.

- Pilot light lights and stays on
- Physical inspection of pilot and flame contact points with thermocoupler and thermopile look good.
- Thermopile registers 540mv when switch is off and 490mv when switch is on. (Shouldn’t this drop by half or at least 100mv?)
- Tried bypassing the switch at the switch and directly at connection point - no ignition of burner
- Disconnected all wires and measured ohms between th and tp - reads 49 ohms (this should be between 1-2ohms, correct?)
- Tried turning switch on and holding flame directly to burner to ensure it was not just a pilot light/burner ignition issue
