The previous owner of our Fireview 201 stated that he ran the stove for years without a baffle. When we got the stove he did a complete refurb which included a new baffle. I have heard of some fireview 201 owners using the stove without a baffle and am curios and what would be the advantages of doing this other than a bigger firebox? How hot can you run the stove? Burn times? Anyone with some knowledge on this would be much appreciated.

I think your better off with the baffle and catalyst, more efficiency burning less wood.
