It really does work! Improves the draft and keeps the gasses hotter.
This summer I used the Everguard mix (about 2/3 of a bag) and it was easy to install by mixing in wheelbarrow and then loading into 5 gallon bucket for the trip up the ladder. I also bought a new cap as the one I was using seemed a bit restrictive. The increase in draft was quite noticeable and the fire starts faster and easier. The other proof was I saw a light yellow discoloration on a small area of the new cap which I never had on the old one which means the top of the cap got to at least 300C. Probably one of those really still nights we've had with no breeze.
Always good to have work rewarded.
