Last year I installed a Regency CI1250 wood stove insert with a 5.5” forever flex chimney liner in an existing masonry fireplace with a heatilator preform metal firebox. I installed a 5.5” forever flex chimney liner with the blanket insulation around it. To get the chimney liner to come down I had to cut out the old damper and some of the smoke shelf. My only question now is there is bend in the chimney liner to get it from the back of the fire place to where it hooks into the woodstove. Is it okay for a chimney liner to bend like this or should I install an offset box on the top of the stove that would connect to the chimney liner? I would like to figure out if this is okay so I can move onto making a block off plate. Thanks
