Today I finally added an adjustable fan control dimmer to my FP 30. Works great, really helps cut down the noise level. Paid $11, made by Lutron, rated at 5 amps. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fan speed controller. Before this I tried a standard dimmer and that didn't work - the fan only turned really slow regardless of dimmer position.
