There are two fresh air intake ports on the bottom of my Empire Archway 1700 wood burning insert.

The stove only has one sheet metal plate provided to block off one side in the event I'm ducting a fresh air insert.

I'm wondering - as these air intakes are both behind the insert surround - should I block both off - so the air intake is all through the front blower area?

Here's a photo - the green circle is what I'm referring to - there's one on each side.
