All this confounding rain and humidity in the mid Atlantic is making my precious stacks grow fungus!

The debate of whether to top cover or not is conclusively over here at Chez3000.

I can't imagine not top covering in normal years let alone during this monsoon year.
My completely exposed chunks and uglies grew all kinds of slimy things - thank goodness the stacks were covered.

I wonder if chimney fires will be more common this year?
