Just looking for feedback on the Jr if any installs up and running yet.

i hope so I was wondering how people are getting around the need for non combustable material on exterior wall where flue exits

I don't have a garn jr but I do have a garn 1500. For the non combustible exterior wall I used pole barn steel.

I've only have mine up and running for about a week now. I will say that it is so simple to use it's not funny. Literally load the wood, hit the start button and light the fire. No adjustments of any kind are needed. I would compare the simplicity of it to my old outdoor wood boiler. Love mine so far.

And when it is doing a burn it is about as smokeless as you can get, very happy about that fact.

do u know what the dimensions around flue that need to be non combustible in the manual it just says non combustible exterior wall

Well the flue itself has a 2" clearance around it from combustible materials. I have seen other members here with the flue exiting a wall with wood siding. I think they just state that the wall must be non combustible for legal reasons. If you have the flue dump into a 55 gallon barrel with a screen on top of not you should have a problem. The garns blower is strongman enough to actually suck up a ember from the firebox and shoot it out the exhaust.

I believe a thimble is what you want. each municipality has different requirements for inspection, but I would think the brand of pipe that garn specs in the manual will have a thimble.

No Jr install feedback?
