I just installed a set of gas logs in my fireplace. Gas was already plumbed to the hearth. The connection at the end of the gas feed pipe and the burner bar has a small leak. This allows a small flame outside of the burner pan over the brass 90 deg fitting. I really didn't want to take it all apart and reassemble so I fab'd a quick heat shield. I'm wondering if this anything to worry about...Any suggestions are welcome without any inference of liability from me. See pics for leak size and location and a look at the heat shield. Thanks for any inputs.
