Gasket for Baby Blaze King

[1983 princess]

I have a 1983 Blaze King Princess. It works great but I replaced the 1 1/4inch gasket last year and the portion on the bottom of the door just gets ripped up from the where the hinges hook on and the door is very hard to close. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can do? Should I get a smaller diameter gasket to put on the bottom edge of the door?

The door is not seating correctly. The 1.25" dense rope gasket is correct. I've got a Baby door with glass insert sitting next to my desk and the gasket you have is correct. Perhaps it was not fully seated?
