Do you guys have a favorite gasket and gasket adhesive combo? I am getting ready to change the front door gasket on my Jotul F50tl. I’m stuck between the Rutland Grapho-Glas and just the plain white rope gasket. Any experiences on longevity/ease of application?

All rope gaskets are not the same. Density and weave vary as does the sealing method (flat or knife-edge). I found the Rutland gasket to be coarsely woven. It did not seal well on our stove. The oem gasket is better. It is actually a dual-layered gasket.

Use red or black RTV silicone for the adhesive.
