I have a woodstove that needs a new gasket rope for around the door. It's an Arrow S12...mmmh, anyone ever heard of that?! And so my question is, what size rope am I suppose to buy for this thing? I tried looking online... no luck. Any insights???
Measure the channel that the gasket sits in. That should determine the size. Deep channels often use the round style rope gasket. Shallow channels can use the flatter style gasket rope. After thoroughly cleaning out the old gasket, glue the new one in with a bit of silicone rtv cement. Close the door on the gasket while the silicone is fresh to seat the gasket. Then open the door and let it set up for a day before burning.
