Hi,

I just got a good deal on hearth gloves.

20" Minuteman International (color: red) hearth gloves.

$23.20 + $3.49 shipping

You can find them here: http://www.vintagetub.com/asp/product_detail.asp?item_no=MMA-13

I just got mine in the mail and they are very nice.

I like them because they don't have asbestos like the cheaper welding gloves.

What do you think?

3 pairs for $10.

Yours are probably much more comfortable though.

I would think asbestos or a similar insulating material would make a pair of gloves more expensive?

I have a couple pairs of welding gloves and haven't worn them in quite a while. When I get stove kisses they are normally up by my elbow, above the glove. I try to use the poker to move the logs around in the stove. I think the last time I pulled them on I had to bring a flaming or smoking log outside for some reason or another. They are a good thing to have around for when you really need them though!
