Congratulations, job very well done. Do you think the inspector will learn anything from the information you provided? Sounds like he could use a mini seminar in application of regulations. Glad you didn't have to struggle with an intransient sort. I think it's a real complement to you for your professional handling of the situation. Others here might take note of a better way to deal with regulations and safety concerns. Seems like a good time to toss back a few with a great meal and celibrate this evening.

Well the home I installed it in is a member of th my golf league. Unfortunately he caught me one a day when I played decent Not bad in the conditions 42 drgrees wet and windy
I shot 39 3 over and blew some shots but what the heck not bad for the second time out. At the club house He bough the beers so nothing bad about the situation or person

Compared to what he had ,to this stove, he has burned it and still the glass is clean. The other night when it was real windy raining and 35 degrees it heated his whole home he was amazed he had enough coals in the morning to re-light GVA Harley and KEY I drank your beers too. That explains why I did not spend too much time here last night. The Hunters want to thank all that participated to make it happen for them.. He is not internet savy nor is his wife or they would be here to tell and thank all. They have no computer.

Other than the clearance issue It is hard to imagine getting a stove for $288 ,this good

Thanks for keeping us abreast of the entire situation Elk. It was a genuine learning experience for us. In a real world situation like this things can (and often do) go wrong. Because you shared the problems with us we learned more. It was the right thing to do. The family that received the stove will often think of you and your helpers (?) each time they fire it up. And surely, your act of kindness will certainly warm your own heart. Good Work!!

There was a side note to the Sunday episode. The guy Ken was left by his wife with one of his two young daughters I completed the hardi backer board installation and connector pipe and picked up my tools I started the first fire using Bio bricks, when the 3 year old daughter decides to use a knife to cut up an orange. Her aim was poor and she cut her hand Crying and bleeding quite a bit. I vollenteered to drive them both to the hospital. The wife had the car and the baby seat. The wife went to the hospital to meet us there the cut required 5 stiches. I didn't know what to do as the wife was 20 miles away and the hospital was 12 miles away. I had to do something I could not just leave and blood was all over the place. Ken wrapped the hand in a towell and was keeping pressure on it the little girl crying and screaming. I had to do something . After seeing the all the blood I had to do something before the little girl passed out. It was scary I did not know how bad the cut was. All is well and it turned out we made the right and best choice. the driving was real bad sleeting and comming down to beat the band and I had windshield wiper problems. Screaming child man that trip seemed long.

Elk, one thing leads to another.......you have interesting karma!
I was once left with our son and allowed him to jump on the bed - boom! He fell forward and split open his forehead on the oak foot board! Blood everywhere! Martha came home and saw a trail of blood, as I had left for the hospital. We got lucky as their was a plastic surgeon on call to stitch up davids head. They strapped him with velcro to a board and worked on him - he screamed bloody murder - but then gave up and fell asleep (coping mechanism).

She still gets on my arse about that now - 18 years later.
