BK, it was a regular event for my old fisher to glow in places. I didn't pay much attention because that is just the way it was, and the paint never turned white so I figured it couldn't the toooooo hot if that wasn't going bad.
Anyway, point of the story is w/ a basement install at night, I still couldn't see the glow unless I took a glove or similar and covered the one tiny blue (or maybe it was green) light on the satellite dish receiver. Once that tiny little light was covered the dull glow would show up in the doors, top dead center of the stove under the steamer, back center, etc. I was always amazed at how little light it took to make seeing that not possible.
I've run the poo out of this stove and on such occasions tried to find a glow and I couldn't. However, it's pretty darn hard to block the light coming through the front door on most of today's stoves.
