I have a green mountain 60. Read and done everything possible. There is simply not enough air coming in while there is adequate draft. I'm about to tear it apart and have it rebuilt as it's beyond expensive and can't be returned. This is sickening. Hoping someone hear can help. Desperate.

Explain the venting system type height layout of connector pipe etc. Also what moisture content is your wood at?

This has been reported before. It seems like this series likes a strong draft.

I have a gm60 as well. Top down fire works. You can't just shut the door either. I have to leave my door cracked for almost an hour. That way things are really established. Then you can add more wood and begin to close things down.

We also have GM60 (1/2021) install. We have continually had smoke entering the room since new. We had the installers come back out a few days after install to add a few more feet of chimney outside. It helped a little. It stops after the temps get close to the cat range.

Initially we could get temps in the cat range and use the cat but the past couple of seasons we haven't gotten hot enough to even close the primary intake. We did have non-optimum wood dryness though. This year the wood should be good (~2yr seasoned) and we still are not getting optimum draft. I saw the thread where someone with a GM40 was told to replace the LPAO assembly. Something was mentioned about a recall but I can't find anything more about that. Would that really be an issue? It doesn't seem like something that would be faulty.
Thanks,
Jim
