Hi,
I'm new to the forum and we recently purchased a used 1988 grizzly wood burning insert. We cannot figure out how to engage the catalytic combustor. We started using the insert and it worked fine the first day and then the temp started dropping and we couldn't keep it high no matter how much wood we put in. We figure it must be due to the catalytic combustor and us not engaging it but we don't know how and can't find an answer as it is an old insert. Our chimney is clean so nothing is clogging it and we burn good seasoned ash wood. Oh and we took off the combustor and cleaned it. Any info on these grizzlies would be appreciated!
