At my folks' this one needed trimming, it's not big but thinning. after a couple branches there was a swarm of what looked like gnats. after loading the branches into the ruck and driving off a couple of'em landed on the windshield and these gnats looked like tiny black lady bugs. Needless to say instead of taking the wood home and risking infestation over there I dumped the wood at the end of my folks lot. What are these? I'm wondering if they were starting to do in the tree...............
