My brother has a Harman Advance pellet stove, and has a problem with klinkers (carbon build-up) building on the burn pot. They form on the sides of the pot,and the back deflector plate,to the extent where it actually lifts the the deflector plate up.Is there anyone else who has had,or has heard of this problem with this stove? Thanks...

It's a fact of life. I scrape mine nearly everyday.

Yup - I also scrape mine a few times a week to get rid of them. Though, I've never had them move the deflector plate... he must be letting them get pretty big.
