Harman metal OAK pipe--looking for leftovers--2ft

I need less than 2 feet. It appears its sold in 5ft sections. Looks like its about 2.5" OD or so

I have a 12" piece that came with the stove I got...to short by about 7 inches

Does anyone have any leftover they would send me? I'll pay shipping.

Install almost done, OAK hookup is the last piece...pics soon

Sorry, the piece I have left over is only 14" max. I was not sure and dug it up to look. All you need is a ridged flex pipe. It is easy to find and fairly inexpensive. I am sure the stove shops mark it up drastically. Any Lowe's, Home Depot, or local hardware store will have a 2' to 4' piece. You are welcome to what I do have but it's not long enough. Being in SW MI you should have numerous options to find this.

What I have is 3". Measure what you are hooking up to because it may vary. What you are looking for Lowe's does have in stock. My local store has it and I just saw it there and it is not expensive at all. Check in the heating and air dept. or by the dryer vent section. What you are looking for is aluminum semi ridged vent pipe. You can cut it with a razor knife to length and then cut the metal banding or wire with snips.

It comes in various diameters so check to see if you need 2, 3, or 4 inch. It will likely be 3". Any HVAC supply house would carry it also. Possibly any building supply, lumber yards, or plumbing supply too. Call around. It should be easy to find. This venting pipe is not stove specific. All it is doing is bringing in fresh air.

Check local hardware stores. They or supply stores probably sell it by the foot. It is cheap. Don't confuse it with the thin very flexible dryer vent. What you need is semi ridged. Most places should stock 2' to 4' pieces. Google 3 inch aluminum semi ridged vent pipe and you will see what it is. Or take the short piece you have and show the counter jockey.

You probably can go to one of the stove shops in your area. They buy it by the roll for their installs and they will sell you what you need or try an auto supply store. Good luck

They make reducers. Not sure what size your stove requires. Measure the O.D. Outer Diameter. What you need is easy o find now matter what diameter. Pipe is measure by O.D. or I.D. (inner). The stove shops buy it from wherever and mark the same stuff up. Even if you go to your stove shop it should be cheap.

I'm using the harman wall thimble so I need to end up with the same size on the thimble side as well.
Run is less than 2', which is why I was trying to avoid using "adapters" since i would have to adapt at both ends.

Stopped by the auto parts store and didnt have any luck there.

Yea I used the Harman thru the wall kit with Outside Air. Mine is the 3" x 4" # 1-00-677177 so it might be a different size flex I had anyway. This was what the dealer suggested for my P68. You might get stuck but it will not cost a lot. Looking at my receipt I paid $4.00 per foot at my Harman dealer and mine is 3".

yea not worried about the price given the ammount i need I would have gladly paid 20 for 2 feet to save the headache. lol cant call for inspection till i get it hooked up...err

It should be sold by the foot. What ever you need, your dealer should be able to help you out.

Is your stove out a ways from the wall? Inspection is one ...err but not getting the heat now is another bigger one. It has to be getting cold there in SW MI by now. It is here. 25 last night. Mine is rolling out some BTU's currently.

yea burning propane currently, had intended on having it fully done by nov but got behind. I went ahead and did my normal propane pre-buy in addition to buying a couple tons of pellets this year. Not knowing how the heat will travel in the house, I didn't want to get caught needing propane that wasn't on pre-buy.

and yes its a full 7 inches from the stovetop to the wall, its a diagonal install. Minimum is 6.25, i couldnt tell if that was from the stovetop or the main stove so I went stovetop since its the closest thing to the wall. Losing the couple inches didn't matter for me as I needed to be that far out to make the thimble work anyway.

Picture is worth a thousand words. I see now with it being the longer run. What a bummer missing by that little bit. Oh well, looks like you pretty well have it handled. Plug stove into a surge protector or the protector police will ding you. Are you doing a UPS (surge w/ battery back up) so your stove will exhaust and shut down properly in a power outage?

the stove is an early model accentra, so UPS wont gain me auto shut down without a board replacement (at least thats my understanding) I do have one I may try out.

Stove was in a lake house and only saw use 3 winters as it was shut down the other years.

What do you guys use as floor protection when cleaning? Canvas drop cloth?

A canvas drop should work fine. You have to let it cool down anyway. I don't use anything since my entire floor in the room is stone tile. Hit it with the shop vac and wipe it up. It really isn't that messy to begin with. I scrape the pot with regular screw driver and it works better than the tool to get the caked on carbon off. I also take a 1/16" drill bit to all of the holes in the burn pot along with all the other cleaning. I did my first clean a week ago just to familiarize myself so I can be quicker in the cold weather.

Your stove looks brand new from the pics. I'd say you scored there. Hardly used.

How far is your stove or A stove shop from you?

Around an hour round trip if I leave from work as I'm already a half hour in the right direction. Would be a 3 hr round trip normally. Trying to get ahold of them to confirm they stock this part. Going to pick up a set of door/glass gaskets while I'm there. Thats the only other think I think I will need in the near future.

The close "stove" shop pretty much just does wood, no pellet stuff.
