I've hooked up a skytech thermostat to my harman p43. What settings do you all keep your stove on with thermostat? Should the stove be on stove temp or room temp mode?

Thanks!

I like room temp.

You need to be in room temp mode. Ensure that the temp on the stove is higher than the setback temp on the thermostat otherwise the stove will shutdown if in auto or go into a maintenance burn if in manual before the desired temperature is reached. I just bought a p68 and the skytech. Works great.

I leave my stove in room temp manual for the heart of the winter with the temp dial on the stove set to approx 74 and the skytech tstat set to 68 or whatever I want at the time. During the shoulder seasons I try to use room temp auto more to conserve pellets and prevent long maintenance burns.

Room Temp/manual. Our 3301p worked great last year with our P43.

I have a Lux wired thermostat because my house is pretty easy to run wires in. This time of year I use room temp auto and turn the stove knob to 76. The thermostat is in "hold" mode since we're just taking the edge off in the morning. In winter we'll use a program mode, and during really cold spells we flip the ignitor switch to manual. It comes on more so we may as well keep it hot and ready. We found that it also throws off some radiant heat in maintenance mode which is nice. We found that it does use more pellets but it wasn't significantly more.

I run room temp on my P43 with the skytech. Run it like Jayman81 said. Works great!
