Make sure the temp probe is properly connected to the stove

Yes, as Canuck 22 says, there is some issue with the room sensing probe that plugs into the back of the stove. If the stove operates fine on Stove temp and acts up on room temp, more than likely it's a probe issue. Let us know how you make out.

What mepellet said - do you have a thermostat hooked up in series with the probe? If you do, then you'll see the 4-blink status when the thermostat's temperature setting is satisfied. Once the thermostat calls for heat, the 4-blink status clears and the stove runs normally.

Also just an FYI now that I think of it, you can download the user manual for this stove on Harman's website. The description of each error code is in the troubleshooting section. here's what is says...

4 Blinks: Can occur only in Room Temp Mode and
indicates Room Sensing Probe failed or not installed. If a
Room Sensing Probe is then installed, the status light will
automatically reset.
