Sounds like Tractor Supply might still have pellets. Have you called the Newburgh HD & Lowes?

any idea what brands of pellets the coal guy sells in Carmel, NY?

Never heard of this pellet, where is it from?

Does anyone know of anyone selling pellets in this area?
Ashleighs on Route 9, Poughkeepsie has Greene golds for $5.99 and they are a nice pellet:cool:

Typicle that the boxes have discontinued stocking pellets. And I suspect the ones that continue will probably raise the price as the wars are off. Pellet house's should have plenty. Spring deals have also started in some area's.

Poughkeepsie lowes had pallets of North Americans right out front a couple of days ago.

Lowes typically takes the tons that went unsold and puts them up on the top of the storage racks until next fall.....ask at the courtesy counter and they can check their stock, or just walk out there and look up high.

Pure fire at Highland TSC. OK pellet at OK price.
i actually went to Tractor Supply in Highland and bought 20 bags of the Pure Fires, they burn pretty good on my stove. low ash. thanks Dogg. I also picked up a few other things they had at end of the season sale.

Pure Fires = Pure ash....
holy heck, the ones I bought yesterday burn so dirty. definetly not like the dry creek I burned in beginning of season.

Yes i agree on the ash, I got 20 bags and im sorry i did, it was my mistake for not stacking up on pellets when i could have. between the kitchen being redone and other expenses i kept putting it off. I run the wood stove mainly nowadays being that its not too cold out.

is this common in the spring?

What not having pellets or being broke? or running the wood stove mainly, Or ashy pellets? LOL :p

and we have another pellet that should be nominated for the dirtiest of the season award:p

sure is, if you support folks who dont support the industry all year long (Big Boxes).....unless the big boxes have totally eroded the profitability of th emarketplace there, you can likely still get pellets from folks who actually make a living selling stoves and hearth products....hearth dealers.

It's also an unusal spring. very cold compared to last year. people are burning more than they planned, so everyone who didn't OVERstock is actually UNDERstocked.
myself included.

I still have pellets, for what it is worth I have them year round. I also have the same brand I have always had. Might be a drive but worth it.

I am down to my last bag of Barefoot pellets (used 3 tons) but ordered a ton of Lignetics from "Otisville True Value" last week. I lucked out because when I went to pay today they stated that they are completely out of stock and the only reason I was still getting my delivery is because I ordered ahead of time. They have 1 ton left that they are selling by the bag only. Someone tried to purchase the last ton but the store refused because they wanted to make sure local customers had pellets to buy by the bag since there is a short supply. I really appreciate the fact that a local store is think about the customer. BTW they were selling for $5 or $5.50 a bag with a 4 bag limit. I purchased the ton for $260 delivered.

I got 3 tons of Somersets from Lowes in Newburgh delivered yesterday. They have a few more tons, I'm told. Also try Agway in Pine Bush, which might be a bit far, but they're due to get Lignectics later this week. $259 I believe.
