Three nights ago we had a visitor on our front deck ... a bobcat
My daughter almost opened the door thinking it was one of our cats until she got a better look! Sorry, no pics as the battery for the camera was dead and couldn't get a decent photo with the cell phone. He was real interested in the smell from our cats on the deck ... yes, they are all accounted for! Our "feral" cat was napping on the top bunk of the climber when he noticed the bobcat lurking on the other side of the patio door. Hubby wears the launch marks to prove the flight instinct is still intact. The airhorn out the door moved the bobcat off a bit but we could still see it in the neighbour's yard. He toured around the house later that night and again the next morning.
The bobcat seems to be gone now. The dog and I have been patrolling the near neighbourhood and haven't seen any new sign. The bunny tracks are back in evidence again too. The neighbour down the lake mentioned he saw him the morning he moved off from our house ... hasn't seen him since. Hopefully, he stays gone ... we don't want to feed the wildlife!

Started carrying a knife in the pocket since the wolf crossed through the yard two years ago. Neighbour down the lake had 5 wolves hanging around their place that year. Wolves not so bad this year...
