I recently upgraded my hearth pad. The new one is thicker and has tile on top. The old one is a thin Hy-c pad. Where the tile is smooth the stove moves easily on top. Would vibration from the auger cause the stove to move? The old pad was thin and over carpet, and the stove did not slide easily on it. Second question, I upgraded the direct vent piping with 3pvp. Should I put a sheet metal screw on the pipe that goes through the thimble on inside and out close to the thimble to keep the vent pipe from moving? Any help would be appreciated.
