What is your opinion of the h-1, I am looking at one and wonder about it's heat output compared to the newer mansfield model.stove appears to be very sound,any idea of value. any help appreciated. thank you

It's a big stove! It will not burn clean like the newer model, and therefore you must make certain it will be burned at a relatively hot level.
Value of a used on would be $400-600 in my opinion. They still sell a few a year at HearthStone for about $2200.00 new.
