Short version of what could be a long story: Bought house, declined to buy cooking stove (wood fired) from previous owner. Bought Homestead, installed in existing pipe/chimney. Managed to get dry wood (in october!?) and made it through the winter. House had no wall insulation. Summer comes, we gut half the house and rearrange. No more low ceiling, all open floor plan, and..... the Homestead is looking good now!

WOW! I love how you accounted for the wood rack when you laid out the hearth. The red is pretty bold and looks good with the wood floors.

very nice, thanks for sharing these great photos, pete

Nice work do you have before and after pics of your house, can you post them.

That looks awesome! The tile blends in real nice with the stove and the red walls looks great with the white trim against the gray and the wood floors.. I like how you extended the hearth to accomodate the kindling and accessories too!

Great Job!

Ray

A lot of great looking installs lately.

I love this one.

I love the fact that the tile/stone seems to match the coloration of the stove.

I love the contrast with the red wall -- and I usually do not like a lot of bright colors.

I love the half wall of stone . . . it gives a nice accent to the wall without being over bearing.

I love the unique contour of the hearth and adding in a section for the wood storage.

I love how the color of the wall, hearth and wood floor go so well together.

So what I'm trying to say is I love what you guys did!
