I know it's been a while. The insert has been performing great so far. Anything below 72 degrees feels cold to us now. We are getting the advertised 10 hour burn times (had one 12.5 hour!). It is also a great pizza oven. I cooked this last night for dinner!

I'm still learning on my kodiak. got some decent secondary burn last night. What are you measuring the temp with? gun or thermometer?
 
I know nothing about either stove but if I was in the market for a non cat stove I would be looking at the Boston for sure. It’s a beautiful stove.
