Gnarly challenge to guess how much gnarly wood there...I say around a cord. I hope you have a splitter!

lots of nice knots and knurls in that norway, you're gonna have some fun with the splitting and stacking of that! but it's good BTU's

Definitely some good wood there but it also looks like you have some trimming to complete before bucking it. Trim it right and it won't be such a problem.

Someday you need to take pictures on trimming a log before bucking to show how to get better rounds & splits.
I do mine with limbs cut flush & parallel & in line with the log. I forget to take pictures & think about it after the logs are bucked & loaded up.

We definitely all need a masterclass on trimming. I got a lot of gnarly stuff recently, and have cut it short to make splitting easier.

Now I wonder if there might be an easier way without buying a splitter (I use a sledge and wedge/wood grenade here).
