I was just surfing Woodland Direct and saw this. (broken link removed) Has anyone had any experience with one of these? Are they effective? Also- how do they work?- do you need electricity? I'm not sure I'm even interested in purchasing, I was just intrigued by it. I was surprised because I haven't seen these discussed on this forum here at all.

Great product if you are into collecting creosote!! Do a search on this forum for Magic Heat Reclaimer. It prettry much gets a thumb`s down from most responsible wood-burners.

My opinion is not a good idea for a new EPA stove, it just robs too much of your draft and creates creosote. But for an old pot belly or non air tight stove that runs hot it may help efficiency some.
