I have a Quadra-Fire Castile insert since 2006. It has a single heat output selector (not like the newer stoves with dual controls). This year the heat out put is on high all the time - the three position switch has no effect on the blower speed (or feed rate).
I pulled the switch - checking the continuity between terminals:
High - center & one outside terminal
Med - no continuity between any terminals
Low - center and the other outside terminal

If the switch is good, I'm assuming it must be the control box. Everything else works perfect.
I found a wiring diagram for a free standing Castile - appears to be the same system, however I can't determine which switch terminals should make contact . . . . .
Does anyone have a test for the heat switch?
