HELP! Auger Jammed in QF CB insert

My stove starts up, light goes on. Everything seems fine except it does not feed pellets.

I'm pretty sure I can hear the auger going so I think there are pellets in there that turned to sawdust.

Does anyone have any idea how to get to the auger? I imagine it's where the hopper is but I was having a heck of a time figuring out how to open it up.

I'd sure love to do this myself, I'd hate to pay someone to come out.

Put the hose both in the bottom of the hopper and the bottom of the pellet feed chute.

I don't know if you pull the insert out but the right side cover comes off,then the auger motor is right there.3 Phillips screws and the motor pulls out.Should be 2wires to unplug.Mark wires first.That's what I had to do on my Castille free standing stove. It was clogged at the top near the motor.Hope this helps!

I did pull the insert out but I didn't see anything like that. I'll check again but I'm pretty sure you get to the auger from the hopper, at least that's what I saw in a video. I'm just not sure how to open it.

I know this is not recommended, but our auger is completely enclosed with no access so we took a vise Grips and gently turned the motor/shaft to remove the jam

You access the auger through from inside the hopper, no need to move the stove. There are 2 Phillips screws (one on each side) that hold the cover on. Be careful pulling the screws out so they don't fall down the hopper. Once you take out the screws, the cover slides up towards you. You can see the auger assembly once the cover is off.
While you are in there, you can also check the vacuum hose (disconnect from auger and from vac switch on back of stove) to make sure it is clear. If the vac hose is blocked, the auger will not feed pellets.

when you are looking into the hopper, the big boxy looking section in the middle is what covers the auger assy. The feed adjustment thumbscrew screws into the right side of the cover. This (the boxy shaped metal cover) is what you want to unscrew and slide up and out of the hopper.

I was hoping it was just screws like the others, can someone look at the image below and tell me what tool I'll need to get these out?

That looks more like a rivet of some sort. On my insert (built in Jan 06) the screws are about 2 1/2 inches down from the front lip of the hopper. Both are black Philips screws.

Thank, had to go to the store to get a screwdriver short enough. Got the box off but not sure what to do now. Seems the auger is packed with sawdust. Gonna try to get a metal coat hanger but I'm really going to have to get in there. Not sure what else to try at this point.

Take a look at this post. It has a couple with the motor off. The bracket comes off as well and the auger pulls up and out. You have to mess with it a bit to come out but it will pull out.
