Help! Connecting Offset Chimney to Stove

Hello,

I want to move my stove closer to the wall, but I'm not sure what all I'm going to need.

I have Selkirk class a coming though the ceiling. The height from the stove to the class a is 60 inches. The offset is around 12 inches, I didn't get a very good measurement.

I'm pretty sure I could make this work with 2 adjustable 45s and a telescopic pipe in between.

I can't find Selkirk adjustable 45s, but I can find other brands that have adjustable 45s. Would I be able to connect another brand to a Selkirk adapter?

Maybe the 2 45s together would give me enough offset? Or use the 2 45s with a short section in between for the correct offset, then a vertical telescoping section to the stove.

Will I need an appliance adapter to connect the Selkirk DSP to my Blaze King Princess?

Some other background information. I used to have only single wall pipe, and have suffered with low draft and creosote. This summer while replacing the roof sheeting, I installed proper class a through the roof, hoping to cure these problems.

Here are some pictures of the project. I have another 3 foot piece of class a to put on outside. I didn't have the locking band so I hadn't put it up yet. The last picture was the stove in its original position.

Look at the offset tables for Selkirk DSP. For 6" round a 12" section between the two 45s will provide a 13.5" offset. A 6" section will provide a 9.5" offset.

Thanks. I had looked at the offset charts. I was on the fence about whether or not I should go straight up from the stove, then over to the chimney or angle from the stove to the chimney. I'm thinking going straight up from the stove will look better.

Its also a requirement per BK to have a minimum 36" rise up from the collar before any bends in the pipe.

Well, I got the offset chimney installed.

I had to shorten the telescoping section, it was way too long. I also shortened the dripless adaptor that came with my chimney kit instead of buying a pre-made one. Circular saw worked very well for these cuts.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Only one of the joints fully seated together though. I may take it back apart and try trimming the crimps shorter so all the joints fully seat and seal.

Maybe I should've spent the extra money on higher quality pipe. Seems like for as much as I paid for this stuff I shouldn't have to modify it to get a good sealing joint. A lighter flame will get pulled into each joint that isn't fully seated.

In the past I've tried sealing joints with furnace cement, but I don't find it very durable. Seems like the stuff always crumbles out. Looks ugly too. Maybe I wasn't using the correct stuff?

I was hoping the stove adaptor would fit over the collar of the stove, but it doesn't. The inner pipe does extend to the bottom of the collar though. I wasn't sure how it would fit, I'm glad I bought the flush adaptor that has the longer inner pipe. If it had fit over the collar I would have cut off the excess pipe that went into the stove.
