I can't make out the model # from the pic. It looks like maybe 5244E?
I'm trying to figure out if it will fit my opening.

Thats lopi's discontunued little wood stove that was made to be cheaper than the answer. We have 2 in the warehouse we cant get rid of, even for 600 bucks

I don't think it's a Lopi stove at all, I think it's a CFM S244E, just as littlesmokey said. Rick

I have that stove in my cabin. Bought at Menards about 2 years ago. Can't remember the brand (probably Century) but it was epa listed. It heats my small cabin (312 sqft) just fine. Short burn times, about 4 or 5 hours.

I haven't contacted the seller yet. I just found it on CL today and didn't think it would be wise to call them on xmas eve. I was looking for an insert for my small firebox fireplace. I wanted to do my research and know what I should be looking at first. My opening is 24"x24". I was trying to figure out if I could shorten it at all to fit in my fireplace. The listing includes the stove, blower, firebrick and a set of tools for $300. What do the experts think? Worth $300?

It's not a good idea to shorten the legs. It was tested with legs a certain length and the insurance guys could get testy if you alter them.

My little Century would have been worth $300. It has been a good little stove. Good luck picking it up.
