OK looking for a little help with an old stove(and new to the site)

it was made by
the Acme Stove Co. Of Oregon
it has a lever, long rod like on the left of this pic
I gather is the flute control or??
but have no idea on how or what way it works
can anyone help?? any info would be appreciated

Is it possible that the previous owner of the house asked the same question already here: http://nepacrossroads.com/about13484.html ?
In any case, that looks more like a coal than a wood stove with the low air feed.

Btw. It looks like it stands directly on a hardwood floor. There should be at least a non-combustible cover most likely with some r-value judging from the short legs.

NO thisn is the same picture
as it was the only one I was able to find like it
I am NOT where the stove is to take a pic

just looking for info about it if I could find some
I again am using a pic I found else where on this site
but just trying to find out info on same brand and almost same model stove
amazing how there is NO info avaliable on it at all??
