Help with Selkirk adapter and double wall connector

I got my Woodstock Fireview a few days ago. By far the most beautiful stove I have ever seen.... but more on that later.

What I'm up against now is connecting the stove to my existing stove pipe (not installed by me). I'm confused as to how the adapter and the double wall connector are attached. The double wall connector has pre-drilled holes at the lower connection, and at the telescoping joint, but not at the upper connection. Is it meant to be a press fit with the adapter? I'm assuming all tapered connections face up is this also true with the adapter? Is the adapter screwed to the stove pipe? The instructions from Selkirk for the adapter are too vague to be of use.

I have attached photos illustrating the parts and my confusion at the direction and method of attachment.

You already have a stovepipe adaptor in your chimney. That's the piece of Stainless steel that's sticking out of the chimney. The adaptor you are holding doesn't go to your particular chimney and is not needed. You may need to crimp your adaptor before slipping your double wall over it.

I'm finally getting this stuff installed and I'm really having a confidence problem with this process. Any input would be appreciated. I have attached photos depicting the connector to chimney connection, the finishing band, the adapter for the stove, the Tee pipe, and two different sheet metal screws that came with the parts. My questions/concerns:

1. The connector is pretty heavy. Are three sheet metal screws on top really strong enough to support most of this weight? At the bottom it attaches to Tee pipe that is applying leverage to an adapter that is also only support by three sheet metal screws. Seems like a wonky setup.

2. The adapter at the stove doesn't have a male/female connection like the other connector pieces and it doesn't seem airtight. Isn't this going to leak smoke? Do I need to drill holes in the adapter before adding screws? Since this is a single wall part, won't the screw holes be another potential leak source?

3. The finishing band has two holes so I see how the screws close it, but what holds it up? Do the screws need to go all the way through it to the connector beneath?

4. One of the parts came with screws that are larger than the others and I'm not sure what they came out of. Any idea where I should use these?

That tee is single wall. Upside down and looks too close to the wall. You need like 18".

Uh.... no, no and no.

That single wall tee needs 18" clearance to the wall. Double wall gets you down to 6". Even the shiny class a chimney requires 2". If your single wall black pipe is closer than 18", stop now.

Your pipe is upside down. Pipe must be assembled to make a drip free connection with all tapered joints facing down so creosote running down the inside of your flue will run down into the stove or in your case the tee's cap.

It's Selkirk double wall. It's crimps are backward. I personally hate the stuff! It's has terrible fit and finish, it'll take 2X the time to install over other brands.

That being said, it's installed correctly.
