Hey everyone. I am a new second owner of an American Harvest 6039. Been running for almost two months and used this forum a lot for figuring out how it works. Thank you! Thought I had it figured out until a couple weeks ago. I wanted to cut down on how fast I was burning bags of pellets so I lowered it down to heat HR 2 blower at 6. Flame completely extinguished and smoke filled my house. Cleaned everything thoroughly and it works, but it hasn't ran the same since. Will not stay lit on HR 2. Now the auger is acting erratically. The timing is way off. It used to cycle every 10-15 seconds and now the cycle is that it doesn't run for 30 seconds, the flame gets extremely low and then auger turns for at least 20-30 seconds straight. Just the other day I was starting the stove and pushed the on button. Auger and agitator supposed to start 3 minutes after starting. Couldn't have been more than 1 minute. Pushed "C" to delay it and then Auger would not shut off at all. Even turning stove off did not stop auger. Completely filled the burn pot with pellets. There's more, but this is a start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm very new at this.

There are US stove experts on here that can help.

Does stove have 3 button or 4 button control board?

It makes a difference regarding resetting it to original confuguration.

Guessing it might need fuel rates adjusted or maybe software reset to factory parameters which can be done.

However, maybe they unplugging, waiting a minute then restart it to see if it will run on HR2 setting before moving to next stage as mentioned earlier.

Try this from forum posts earlier.

Press the “B” & “C” Buttons together, release when you see P1 in the display. Then use the up arrow above the “A” button to change the display to read P9. Then press the “ON” button and the board should turn off, if it doesn’t and you see a “D” or “dashes” just unplug the stove and plug it back in.

The control board should now be in the factory default setting.

Nothing happened when I pushed "B" and "C" together. Every time I shut off the stove the auger runs for 30-40 seconds straight and then it stays off. It should cycle until it cools down I thought. I tried unplugging it for 30 seconds to reset and now whenever i plug it back in the whole stove starts up. I don't even have to push "on". It has to be a failing circuit board, right? Nothing seems to be timing correctly anymore.

try unpluging and leave it for 5 min. there are caps on the board that may not empty in 30 seconds. im not real familiar with the stoves cycle times but im sure the auger should not be running for 30-40 seconds (maybe at startup). when you hit the off button it should cease feeding pellets then the fire will die and stove fans should run till it cools below the limit switch then they should stop. The board may have seen some voltage spikes, is there a good surge protection the stove is plugged into?

After much research on this forum I finally found some answers. Apparently the board I have has 3 different versions and the factory reset is different for all of them. For my board, pressing the blower up and down buttons simultaneously resets the stove to factory. A different version of the same board requires pressing B and C simultaneously which was stated above. My stove seems to be running fine now after it was reset. The manual settings must have been all messed up. the auger is now slower and more consistent, a bag of pellets now lasts about 24 hours instead of 12, and I can now run the stove on HR 2. It is amazing how much you can fine tune these stoves. Thanks for your help.

You may want to consider upgrading to the 4 button control board. USSC has dropped the price to $176 or something close. A spare board is always nice to have even if you don't install it right away, but the 4 button controller has a lot more adjustment for burning, stove runs much better and is completely compatible with your stove.
