I have read a few comments that the flu connection is adequate as supplied by Hampton. There is no flu connector, only clips to help secure the adaptor to the opening of the stove. I am not going to connect my flex directly to the top of the HI300, correct? It looks like I have to go drop another 60 bucks for an appliance adaptor for the 6" flex.

Other than that the unit looks great. I am cleaning the chimney tomorrow and if I get a break in the rain will shove the flex down so I can move the stove in on Sunday. I will try and posts picks as I go.

NO, You do not want to connect your liner to the insert without the adapter.
& NO you won't hafta spend $60...more like $20
