When I bought my stove (Breckwell P2000i) on Craigslist last year I was told it was about 7 years old. It was in great shape and looked like it hadn't been used in a while. I traced the S/N and found out it was manufactured in 1998. I don't feel ripped off, I got it for a song.
Reading other posts reminded me how basic my unit it...no thermostat, no OAK, no removeable ash bin, very basic heat and fan settings, etc. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to invest in a different make/model and determine if I should buy new or used. I certainly wouldn't mind something that was a little easier to clean.
Is it a classic or a piece of junk?
