I have a huskee splitter with a 6.5 hp briggs motor on it. Also have a 12.5 electric start briggs just laying around.Sould I put it on huskee?

If you are only going to change engines you will use more fuel and gain nothing else. If you swap engines and add a bigger pump with larger hoses you will gain speed.
