Husqvarna 41 engine rebuild kits

Has anyone tried one of the rebuild kits on eBay? My saw has good compression but was wondering if this is a viable option when it starts to loose compression.

Do you need to hone cylinders when you rebuild like a 4 cycle?

The link you provided look to me to be the whole top end. Id just pit it on the existing bottom end and be done.

I wouldn't waste my money on that kit.
You state good compression.Why phug with it then?
If you were experiencing bad compression,then a new set of quality rings and you would be good to go.
OEM Cylinders are the way to go,aftermarket are 95% junk.
OEM pistons were coming down in price,but Meteor Aftermarket pistons are the best.
OEM cylinders with aluminum transfer can be cleaned up easily and reused if the plating survived the meltdown.
And the saw you are working on is classed as a clam-shell,or homeowners saw.
Pro saws have a cylinder that you can remove without splitting the crankshaft out.
