Any day in Alaska with short sleeves is a good one! Enjoy the fair weather my friend and have another moose burger!;)

Dang, I love it when your pictures show the mountains!:)

Gorgeous up there, hopefully one day i can make it that far north

Short sleeve weather here too but I had long sleeves on this afternoon......cut and hauled home a nice truck load of ash. Wife says I thought you weren't bringing anymore home.....sorry honey I had to succumb to my illness I'll check myself into woodcutters anonymous. She said I still love you.

I don't know how warm it was but I have the feeling I would not consider it a short-sleeve day...

Clear day , sun hitting the north side of the stacks.
Some cool shadows & color changes from the earlier AM pics .
Mts look closer with this sun angle

Was 60* for a few hours. Now it's 45* though it's about 10:30 and the sun is starting to set. 45* is "almost" sweatshirt weather, all depending on what I'm doing.

And Dave I swear you put "Mts" (whatever the hell that is?) just to piss me off!

Stacks lookin' great, Dave.
If I was working up a sweat I might peel down to a tee shirt at 60... :)

Damn, Dave, awesome stacks! Love the woodshed. That view still impresses me each time you post one of it. Do those mountains stay snow covered all year?

Some years there's a week or 2 in mid August that all the snow is gone.
Heavy snow this year, probably be snow up in some places all year this year.

Hoping you post some pics as the snow line moves up.

They usually are green toward the middle of summer, though I have been up in some of the mtns and have found several feet of snow still, just couldn't see it from the ground I guess.

Definitely different from what we have in NY. AK is one place on the bucket list.

And to think I opened my pool up today...contemplated the first dip but 58 is a bit too chilly

Dave, it seems some of your air is coming our way. Temp at 81 today and tomorrow forecast a high of 47 with falling temperatures. This does not look good for the apples and other fruit trees. Not many times we don't get apples 2 years in a row but maybe this year. We'll see. I think our low forecast for this cold spell is 30.

Also I hear honey bees are few & far between this year.
Hope they get/got pollenated before the cold snap hits.
They might handle 30° for a few hours, much colder could be bad.

Forecast for 59° today, don't think it's gonna make it.
Was goona let the stove go out, may have to add wood ,
54° & cloudy, to be 39 tonight.

That is the sad part. I've seeing very few bees this year.

Heading to Alaska in June, for two weeks of fishing and general bumming around!

Dave, maybe someone's asked you already but is this a bad time of year for biting bugs? Do you have a lot of flies and mosquitoes in your area? just wonderin'....
