Question:
My ideal wood burning stove would have all of the following features: excellent aesthetic appeal, high efficiency, clean burning, clean glass window, use for cooking, use for hydronic heating, easy to control output. I'm sure it's not possible to get all this, and I'll have to settle, but are you aware of any products available which come close to this?
Answer:
Other than the Hearthland (which you already know about), there are:
1. Waterford Stanley
2. Austroflamm (Swiss Company...imports into the US...freestanding stove with window and small oven)
3. Franco Belge (Coal Heat, Alburtic, PA)
Many of these make hydronic units, but they are typically not sold in North America.
