Identity of this Soapstone stove for me? Hearthstone Harvest

Just looking for some info on the make/model so I know 'something' prior to looking at it. Only asking $600 so I figure it probably has a few years on it.

Any other wear and tear to look for tips besides the normal cracks and warpage?

It's definitely a Hearthstone. I am no expert, but their early models were large stoves (I gather this because I've never seen a really old small one) and the models were Hearthstone I, Hearthstone II and Hearthstone III. Most of these had double front doors, however. The one pictured has a single door which means it could be an early Mansfield. The Mansfield was until very recently the largest in the Hearthstone line, having replaced the aforementioned I, II and III.

If you can verify that it is a Mansfield without major damage that is a very good asking price.

Looks like the eary Heritage model. I believe the Hearthstone I and II models were cats?

I agree. Most of us folks do not mind searching when you can actually come up with some answers. Some manufacturers do a great job with this.

Would be a bugger to use the side load door which I believe is an extremely useful feature. That stove burns so clean that you don't even need a chimney.

Maybe it was just staged there.

Just an FYI - this is supposedly a Hearthstone Harvest - about 10 years old. I did a few searches trying to get more info but nothing. He has the manual so I will find out when I get there.

I've heard of the model. The style looks somewhat like the current Heritage, so perhaps it's the predecessor. You could email Hearthstone in advance about the general design and parts availabilty in case you get there and it's somewhat "needy."
